SOBI2 is the best directory component around for Joomla. In fact, the combination of Joomla and SOBI2 is probably the best directory component on the Internet. CorFun has now solved that problem. This package includes all the plugins and files you need to show search results on a Google map either by Postal Code (ZIP Code) or by Geocode (Lattitude/Longitude).

4) Javascript which you can implement to have the map 'float down' the page as the user scrolls down the list of entries.

The Aqualung site here shows how well the Google Mapping software works with the Radius Search plugin. Search for Zip Code 32703 and you can see the results. This install also really showcases some of the customization options for this software.

Please note: SOBI2 version 2.9.0 or higher required. The Radius Search plugin from the developers of SOBI2 is also required if you want to map results by proximity to a given Postal Code (ZIP Code). The SOBI2 software returns the search results that we use to generate the map. SOBI2 by itself does not do radius searching, so please visit sigsiu.net and pick up a copy of their excellent Radius Search plugin if you would like that feature. The combination of our software and SOBI2 with the Radius Plugin has been used all over the world. The Radius Search Plugin is not required for any other kind of searching.

Our software will render a map of search results, regardless of how they are generated out of SOBI2!

Installation

The SOBI2 template and the mapping plugin install using the SOBI2 installer. The 'float down' javascript is a simple insert into your template's index.php. No file changes are required in this version.

Please note, this package uses a SOBI2 template to render search mapping results on the vCard template. Also, please note that this plugin only provides mapping for search results.
