Another problem: Cron Job installed: VM to CB works well but CB to VM doesn't work. Did I miss something?

The CRON job was designed to work VM to CB as documented on the site:



From our design perspective, we expected that most shops would have users primarily registering in VM as part of the shopping process. We anticipated that this would be the primary registration method, but that existing sites with existing members might want to automatically add their CB members to VM. We didn't add the CB 'push' to VM as part of the CRON process, because we primarily saw this as a migration tool, not an ongoing process.

Can I get some background on how you are trying to use Target Mail on your site? We can look at putting in the CRON to make CB moves to VM automated, but having a business case would make it easier for us to evaluate.

We have a community with only a small shop. So People mainly register first in CB and then maybe later on they buy a product. So it would be well if the are than registered VB-Shoppers otherwise they could be a little bit confused.

I am also in need of using CRON jobs to update VM from CB. Is there a way to set that up yet?

Question though - can you give us a rundown on your business model that would require it? The reason I am asking is because we had thought of CB to VM as being a one-time migration process when launching a store for an community-based site. From a design perspective, we had thought that the store registration process would dominate after that.

If you are more comfortable, you can PM this to me. I'm trying to gauge the possible demand for the CRON going CB to VM so a real, live case scenario would be helpful.

Sure, we have a site that uses CB for registration, SOBI2 for events & VM for the paid upgrades to their event listings. So our members are registering through CB first, then submitting events in SOBI. Our site currently has 840 or so members and we are getting anywhere from 2- 10 new members every day.
