Hi, I have a problem. Account creation in VM and CB is updated OK. If I edit the address in the CB Profile it is updated in VM. However if I add an item to the cart and checkout in VM, and during the checkout process I “Update Address” (in VM) changing say the address. Then go into the Target Mail menu and “Update VM from CB” the address in CB is the old address and the address in VM is the new one.

Hello -

So a change to the Billing Address is not carrying through to the CB profile, or are you adding/changing an alternate shipping address?

Yes changing the Billing Address is not carring through to CB after an update through the Target Mail menu.
No other shipping address for the account at the moment, only the default billing address.

Is Target Mail meant to update the CB profile with a change to the billing address in VM after an account is created, or is it something I have done wrong.

Hello -

The problem is that Virtuemart doesn't have a plugin system (yet), so when you make an update to the address, we don't have anyway to detect that the update has been performed.

If the VM shopper updates the address on file, and makes a new purchase, we will detect the new purchase and check to make sure the fields match up with the CB profile that uses the same email address. Whatever doesn't match will be overwritten.

The new purchase is a triggering event that alerts us. So that is the real crux of the matter. If a shopper simply uses the "account maintenance link" to change address, but doesn't buy anything, then no update is performed. As soon as the shopper makes a new order, we will align everything back up.
