Virtuemart for Joomla is a fantastic shopping cart system. It has so many advantages that it is hard to list them all. However, there is one thing that Virtuemart lacks that can be really painful. That is a simple, easy way to export orders and send that list out to partners, fulfillment houses, vendors, accounting, etc. VM Orderlist from CorFun, Inc. solves that problem and makes your Virtuemart order information simple and easy to export.
First off, VM Orderlist is extremely easy to set up. There are other order reporting tools for Virtuemart that are more robust. These tools are great - if you are a technical resource who can handle the pages of doc you have to read to set them up.
Do you have time for that? Do your clients, if you are a developer? Probably not. So VM Orderlist simply lists, in the component setup, all of the standard fields on the Virtuemart database tables. You simple check "Yes" or "No" for each field to determine if it is included in the CSV files generated by VM Orderlist. Simple, painless set up that anyone can understand or manage.
You then set up your email address to email the CSV file to, the verbiage to accompany the CSV file, the from email address, and the from name. After that brief set up, you are ready to run. You can use a CRON method to automatically email a CSV file of recent orders to the selected email address.
You can also run the system manually from either the backend or the frontend. When you run it from the frontend, the user can select the date range within which to extract orders, and can select an override email address to send the CSV file to. This is a great functionality for sites that have people who periodically need sales information, but who need it on-demand and don't need admin-level access.
