Virtuemart has its own set of shopper groups. These control important things such as pricing for products. Now, thanks to the VM Shopper Group Login Redirect component from CorFun, your shopper groups can also control what pages your shoppers/users see when they login to your site!
CorFun, Inc. has used Virtuemart extensively to build shopping sites for customers for years. Often shops have multiple shopper classes such as Wholesale, Retail, Paid Member, and just regular Shopper. As a development team, we often found ourselves wanting to redirect Wholesale shoppers to a list of specials for them, while the regular Shoppers needed a different page. We were able to get around this by using JUGA and JACLPlus to create custom ACL groups and then using our regular login redirect component. However, this was not ideal, because it was too much effort and the Shopper Group was the natural place to control this process. Because we needed a simpler process that works with Virtuemart Shopper Groups directly, this component was created.
Each of your shopper groups can have its own specified landing page. A default landing page can be set up for any shopper group you don't have a special page for.
