As always, thanks for purchasing FlyTabs.
I purchased your theme today. While the documentation isn't what I'd call complete since it assumes too much, but it seems to be working pretty well. I thank you for including to browse pages. I'm using the second one. I might even decide to rewrite the docs in to something more friendly and send it to you. Who knows ?
We have never had a complaint about the documentation. The doc does assume a basic understanding of Virtuemart, since we assume that if you are building a VM store you should understand Joomla and VM to some degree. We are, of course, always happy to improve our doc so if you have suggestions then we would be happy to incorporate them.
The new "Zoom" is very cool, fast and clear.
However, when your theme is active, using the image title of "Zoom" works as expected but also seems to disable the normal (previous) light box functionality ? Can I have both ? Maybe change the trigger keyword "Zoom" to "Zoom-CorFun" ? How can I make this change to the theme ?
The Zoom image replaces the lightbox image, as the software description makes clear on the shop page. We can consider this for a next version. We just released a dark version of this theme with some enhancements, so we can look at adding in Lightbox as an option. Now that I've posted this in our Support forum, our primary VM developer can take a look at this request and evaluate it. Alternatively, he might be able to give you some pointers on how to change it yourself.
Mouse overs are working as designed. Love them!
Though, when mousing over a thumbnail on a product details page, how can I make it so that if the user clicks it, it then becomes the "main" picture. Following that, I'd like the "Zoom" (whether new or old style) to also work with the newly selected (clicked on) "Main" picture. Please advise on how would I would accomplish one or both of these things ?
This is technically impossible, I believe. The page does not refresh. The image rollover occurs using JQuery. To make the rollover image replace the existing 'main image' would necessitate a page reload to make the switch. That somewhat defeats the purpose of the additional images. The reason I know this is because during our internal QA (a year ago before we released this product) I asked for this very feature. In my opinion as a designer, it is more important to have the instant mouseover for this product than to have main image replace, since that will require a page reload and slow down the shopper's experience. If it were possible to do this without a page reload, then I'd be in favor. I'll let our VM coder comment further.
Please respond in the forum so that our entire development and support staff has access to your comments.
Thanks,
