TOPIC: VM JProduct Scroller

VM JProduct Scroller 1 year, 11 months ago #1292

I have just downloaded the VM JProduct Scroller to replace the one we currently have on our website but the images aren't appearing or scrolling and I simply cannot work out why.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hello -

Can you either post a link or PM me a link so that I can see the problem?

Thanks,

Hi Glen

I have actually figured out how to make the products appear so that is sorted but now I am trying to work something else out...

Do you know how/if it is possible to get rid of the box surrounding the items and make the blue background disappear? Please refer to our home page (www.mektronics.com.au) if you are unsure of what I mean.

Thanks
Deb

Hello -

Glad to hear. The scroller is 100% CSS Driven. You need to go here:

./modules/mod_vm_jcategory_scroller/js/skins/default/

and then change either the skinFull.css or the skinThumb.css or the one with the number which corresponds to your instance of the scroller if you are using numbers. Remember, you can have up to 10 instances of the scroller on the same page, so if you have a number other than 0 in the scroller number, change the skin (either full or thumb depending on what you are using) that matches the number.

You can use Firebug in Firefox to find the specific CSS classes controlling all of the behavior. Nothing concerning appearance is coded in the JS or PHP. It is all nice, clean tableless CSS. I have seen people so heavily customize the scrollers that I did not recognize them.
