Hello -
There is no problem with full images. Please look here:
www.corshops.com/Joomla-Main-Page.html
If you look at the Product Scroller on this page, it is vertical and uses full size images.
The image width is set to 120px in the SCROLLER. That is the key, you have to set the size of the image in the scoller configuration.
The image height is set to 80px. All of the images are bigger than 120px by 80px, but they render as that size because the scroller configuration is set to that size. That makes them show up nicely in the left column of this template.
The Title Height is set to 150px in the SCROLLER configuration. The title height is the height in the scroller reserved for all of the text. That means the product title, the product short description, the product price, and the Add-to-cart button all have to fit in that 'Title Height' value. If it is too small a window, then your text can overlay images, or some of the information could be cropped, or your add-to-cart buttons can overlay images, etc.
You must set the Title height big enough to fit all the things you want to show. This can take some experimentation depending on your template and the size of the module position that you are publishing too.
The scrollers current just sort by Product ID. We haven't had custom sort as a feature request yet. If we decide to add it in a new release, we'll send you an updated scroller.
Regards,
Glen
