Instructions on creating a dummy URL to publish to when there is no link to the VM store are on this thread:

You just need a menu link on a menu to the VM component itself. The menu does not need to be visible anywhere.

Yes, I did it but it doesn't work. I created a hidden link in a section of top menu linked to Virtuemart component.

I don't think that the problem is the double $$ in javascript, because I have the same code in other scripts and it works properly

If you create a published link on your main menu to Virtuemart, do you have a problem?

I'm not sure what all of your settings are, but try changing the "circular" to "both" and let's see if that works.
