Hi i am hoping you can help me i recently bought the vmdtabs and need have got it working no problem until i try to use either product description or product short description as a tab.

when i try to use either of these everything appears fine untill i select a different tab it then still shows the product description with the contents of the tab underneath. How can i show the product description in a tab without it appearing in all the tabs

The tabs themselves are set up in the Product Description, so if you put tabs into the Product Description, then try to display it as a field, you will get an infinite loop situation. For our product displays, I make the first tab my general description such as { TAB=Features} and that is my "description." (Note that I put spacing in that command to prevent the system from converting it to a TAB.)

I then put in other tabs like "Shipping," "Demo," etc. Short description is not a problem. I use short description in a lot of places as a short, two lines of text above the tabs. I even have Short Description set up on the vmdTabs demo page.

yes that helps a lot and i thought this was the case. but why does it do the same thing if i use the product short description.

you said you make the first tab your description TAB=features you then say you put spaces in that command what exactly do you mean by this ?

I was saying I put spaces between the { and the word TAB in my example in this forum so that the plugin (which is active in the entire site, not just Virtuemart) would not interpret that command and make my example a tab. I was trying to make sure that you didn't copy that command and put it into a product ID and then not have it work because of the space between the { and the word "TAB"

If you look at the vmdTabs demo, you will see that we use the Product Short Description in the demo:

Did you check out the doc: www.corshops.com/images/documentation/vmdTabs.pdf and make sure that you entering the product short description code insert correctly?

thank you for your help i have now got it all working correctly i found that every line i entered in the product description was as a div. now i have the whole thing enclosed in one div and each line as a p now it all works as it should and a great product it is at that.
