Can you confirm that you followed the directions to set up full size images for each thumbnail? Instructions are in the documentation, and are reproduced below:

Full Size images are uploaded using the same add media file functions described previously. There are two important differences between the full image and the thumbnail:
The file name must be identical to the thumbnail file, except with the extension “.full.” added to the end of the filename.
