Hi!

I've done a number of test coupons and have been unable to get one to work that does the following example:

Coupon Value: $20.00
One Time (not permanent)

Valid on CAT ID 35 and CAT ID 36

FREE SHIPPING SET TO: Y

When i create it, and then test it to see if it works properly, the coupon code doesn't even act like it was accepted.

Currently, we are using the Flex Shipping Module as we have a flat $5.00 ship cost regardless of size of order to anywhere in USA and Canada.

Any suggestions?

Hello. What is your order number please. Also what version of Joomla and VM are you using. Also, please explain what you mean by not working. Is the $20 being deducted? Is the problem with the shipping? Is this a production or a test site?

I'm not sure what my order number is as it has been a while since I bought it. Is there a way to find it somewhere on my site?

It is not working for a few reasons: 1. when the coupon code is entered into my live site teadistrict.com, it doesn't give an error message, but also doesn't show any form of deduction from the coupon. Ive set it up another way, and it deducts the $20 off value, but it doesn't deduct the shipping.

The site is live.

Free shipping for flex can work, but not on the version of virtuemart and target coupon. The product is really designed to work with weight.

I have changed the component to work with flex shipping, in a non-supported custom. However you will need to be current in order to use it which means VM 1.9. The product is supported for one year so if you can let me know approximately when you bought it and the name of the business or user id, I will try and look it up.

My web builder bought it and installed it for my site. I don't know her user info but the company is Kornwill Designs, Catherine Beck. It was last spring or early summer if I recall.

Flex shipping definitely wasn't available with the component in that release. The latest release of VM is 1.9. If you want to upgrade to VM 1.9 and reinstall the component I will send you the latest package. However, I will need to modify the flex shipping module to do the wave. An obvious easier way of handling it is to simply increase the coupon amount by $5.00 to cover the shipping. You are dealing with a very old version of VM. I would take particular care in upgrading.
