Hi, when I move my mouse over the images it changes the image properly, but when when my mouse travels in the space between thumbnails it always switches back to the first image. Is there a way to keep the focus on the image which was last viewed when moving the mouse over the blank space?

The JView gallery does not "swap" images. It uses a rollover method, which is very common in Joomla galleries. It will only retain the image as long at the user is actively hovering over it.
