I have the geo cat plugin which shows markers on the google map for geo cat.

Your search results solution show markers on another google map.

Is there a way to put the search results on the same google map as the geo category plugin?

Not without modification. You would have to go through the same process of building the map marker array field as the category output is generated. Store it somwhere. Then use that information when the geo cat map is being rendered.
