GoogleMapAPI:createMarkerIcon: Error reading image: /components/com_sobi2/GoogleMapsIcons/icong1.png

I get the above message after failing the session installation and properly set up the directory permissions to make axsearch.calss to create the map in home directory.

any idea how to work around this issue? the files exit in the directory and the permission is 777, so i do not understand why it does not work!

Is your Joomla install in the root directory of the site or in a sub directory?

If it is in a sub directory, you will have to adjust the link to the marker image in ShowGoogleMaps.php (and probably in the vcard template too).

If it is in the root, send me your site address and I'll take a look. I may be able to spot something.

OK, this one works now but I have a problem with an address and tried to use the longitude-latitude file, which doesn't work!! it doesn't show up the map at all.

any idea why?

Do you have the Latitude and longitude set to display on the vcard? If not you need to set it that way.

There is a "sticky" post in this forum about the reason why and how to not actually display them if you would rather not.
