I just bought this script and installed it on my site...
and I love the map displaying within search...

but

it would be so much more useful if the map could be displayed within the
vcard template of the main directory page

What modification would I need to make to let the map with markers appear in the main vcard page(s) (main sobi2 page)?

Have you looked at the SOBI2 module for category display? Radek Suski, the developer of SOBI2, developed and offered a module that shows SOBI2 entries on a map by category.

The limitation that native SOBI2 tools had was that you couldn't see a map with your search results. Before trying to modify our code, I would suggest that you check out that category mapping module. The combination of the two should give you what you are looking for.

For the record, we actually do use the Vcard template to show the map, but I am guessing is that you are looking for something that shows up without the need for a search.

Thank you for the reply. I actually did check out his module and purchased it...

IMO, it was a waste of money because it displayed everything in the category or random.

With over 2,000 listing per category, it's not possible to use it and I certainly don't want to display random listing


I love your plugin and script.

I'm sure that it's so close to being able to modify enough to use for regular vcard page instead of search only.

What minor changes can be made? I'll be more than happy to donate for any trouble.

Wow. Sorry to hear that. We've never used it. In the enhancement request forum, can you give us a detailed description what you would like us to do. We have considered creating a new version of this code that would sit in a module position. If we did that, then we could do something else besides a search-based results set.

Help us out with some good specs - where you want the map, what should the map show, etc. Then I'll (hopefully) give you some feedback on when we can code that.
