I just carefully went through the steps of the installation process for "Google Mapping for SOBI2 Search Results ". And when I go to the search function, I'm getting the following error:

"Warning: fopen(sgm628409File.map) [function.fopen]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/.feiffer/compops/sfi.org/portal/components/com_sobi2/ShowGoogleMap.php on line 7
Can not open file for read in Show Google Map"

Oops, forgot to post: Sobi version is RC 2.9.1.0 .

The axsearch.class.php script has to have write access to the root directory. That is the reason you are getting the error. ShowGoogleMaps.php needs this access as well.

OK I did a chmod on the sobi2 directory, to 777, but I'm still getting the error.

The file in question is being written to the root directory (where ShowGoogleMaps.php is located. That is the directory that needs write access.

The file ShowGoogleMaps.php is in my com_sobi2 directory, and I've given that a 777 chmod. Still getting the error though.
