TOPIC: Installation Errors on Joomla 1.6.5

Installation Errors on Joomla 1.6.5 7 months ago #3212

The installation fails with a JInstaller error 1064
sql db function.

There are then several pages of complaints about sql syntax.

All in all, as spectacular a failure as I've seen.

Does this look familiar to anyone ?

Actually, we went straight from Joomla 1.6.3 to Joomla 1.7, so never gave that release a shot. We have seen install errors in 1.6 on a number of different components, not just ours, but from quite a few developers.

Are you planning to upgrade to Joomla 1.7?
